The fourth annual Crusader Classic women’s bowling tournament is being hosted Friday-Sunday, Nov. 9-11 by the Valparaiso bowling program at Inman’s Bowling and Recreation Center in Valparaiso, Ind., featuring five of the nation’s top-ten teams.
The field features five of the eight squads invited to last season’s NCAA Championship. In all, seven of the ten participating teams are currently ranked among the top-20 in the nation. #9 Valparaiso, which finished fifth at the NCAA Championship last season, looks to defend its crown as Crusader Classic champions. The Crusaders are joined by fellow top-ten squads and perennial powers #2 Arkansas State, #4 Vanderbilt, #5 Nebraska and #6 Central Missouri. #14 UW-Whitewater, #17 Prairie View A&M, Cheyney, Elmhurst and Salem round out the ten-team field.
All Crusader fans and bowling enthusiasts are invited to attend the three-day tournament at the intimate environment of Inman’s. Bleacher seating will be provided right behind the lanes. Action begins Friday and Saturday at 9 a.m. and Sunday at 8 a.m. Admission is $5 per day or $12 for all three days, while Valparaiso University students with ID get in free. Other students, with student ID, save $1 on the single-day admission or $2 on the three-day pass.
