The Valparaiso University bowling team has nine tournaments on its regular season schedule for the 2018-2019 season, highlighted by the hosting of the Crusader Challenge at Lynwood Bowl in Lynwood, Ill. in early November.
Valpo opens the campaign in Harahan, La. at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Invitational Oct. 19-21, and then competes the next weekend at the Bearcat Hammer Open in Fairview Heights, Ill. Valpo then hosts a November tournament for the tenth straight year, welcoming teams for the Crusader Challenge Nov. 2-4. This will be the second straight season the Crusaders have hosted this tournament in Lynwood.
A stretch of four tournaments in as many weekends concludes Nov. 9-11 at the Warhawk Classic in Kenosha, Wis. Valpo then steps away from competition for two months before returning to the lanes Jan. 11-13 at the Mid-Winter Invitational in Jonesboro, Ark. Two weeks later, Valpo heads to Chesterfield, Mo. for the Columbia 300 Saints Invitational.
The Mid-America Invitational in Fulton, Mo. is next on the schedule for Valpo, Feb. 8-10. Regular season action concludes at the Big Red Invitational March 1-3 in Lincoln, Neb. The Southland Bowling League Championship will be contested March 22-24 at a location to be determined, with the league’s champion earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship April 11-13.
