Nunnelly Commits to Run at Valpo

Valparaiso University women's cross country coach Mike Straubel has announced that Danielle Nunnelly has signed an institutional letter to run at Valpo this fall.

Nunnelly, a native of Valparaiso, Ind., was a member of three state championship teams in cross country for Valparaiso High School. As an individual, Nunnelly finished as high as fifth place at the state meet during her junior season.

The Most Valuable Runner for the Vikings, she turned in a personal best time of 14:21 over four kilometers. She also earned Academic All-State honors.

On the track, Nunnelly ran bests of 5:11 over 1600m and 11:25 over 3200m. She has been a member of two state qualifying 4x800m relay teams and also qualified for state in the mile.
