Crusaders Run at Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational

Valparaiso's men's cross country team finished in 17th place at the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational held on Saturday in Kenosha, Wis. as those Crusaders that did not run at the Pre-NCAA Meet competed in the invitational.

Valpo scored 465 points in the meet, which was won by Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Adriano Schultz (Brecksville, Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview Heights H.S.) led the Crusaders with a 116th place finish in a time of 28:47 over eight-kilometers. David Iott (Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger H.S.) was 12 spots behind Schultz with a time of 29:02.

Kirk Heavner (Lincolnton, N.C./West Lincoln H.S.) finished third for the Brown and Gold with a time of 30:22, while Mike Landmeier (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles H.S.) was fourth in 31:13. Matt Kariger (Plymouth, Ind./Plymouth H.S.) rounded out the Brown and Gold scorers with a time of 34:56.
