Rolf Earns Horizon League Athlete of the Year Honors
Laura Rolf repeated as Horizon League Athlete of the Year.

For the second straight year, Valpo senior Laura Rolf (Rochester, Mich./Lutheran Northwest) has been named the Horizon League Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Year.  Rolf is the first runner in Crusader cross country history to earn multiple League Athlete of the Year honors.

Rolf earns the repeat honor after winning the Horizon League Championship for the second straight year.  This year, she beat the field by 29 seconds, running a time of 17:33.73 over the 6K course in Green Bay, Wis. on Nov. 1.

Rolf also closed her career as a four-time All-Great Lakes Region honoree.  The senior earned the All-Region accolade this year after posting a time of 21:56.2 in the 8K regional meet, good for a 24th-place finish.
