2008 (Track and Field): Did not run track last year for the Crusaders while studying abroad ... named to Horizon League Academic Honor Roll during both fall 2007 and spring 2008 semesters ... enters season with school record outdoors in the 3,000m run and among Valpo’s all-time top-five in five other distances ... earned All-America honors indoors during 2007 campaign in the mile run.
2007 (Cross Country): Horizon League women’s cross country Athlete of the Year ... All-Region honoree for the third straight year ... earned CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District V Second Team accolades ... won each of first five races of the season ... kicked off year by winning the Crusader Invitational by over a minute ... followed next week by besting a field of 94 runners at the Boston College Open while setting a new personal best in the 5K ...dominated field in the Gold Race at the Notre Dame Invitational two weeks later, winning by 46 seconds while setting a new school record of 17:04 over 5K ... new record lasted just two weeks, as she lowered it to 16:40.33 at the Evansville Invitational, winning by nearly 50 seconds ... closed out steak of five straight victories by breaking the tape at the Horizon League Championship in Valpo’s first season in the league ... finished sixth at NCAA Great Lakes Regional, her second-straight top-ten finish at the regional meet ... followed with a 48th-place showing at the NCAA Championships, finishing just 20 seconds out of the top-25 ... three times earned Horizon League Athlete of the Week honors ... named to the league’s All-Academic Team ... a member of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll for the fall 2007 and spring 2008 semesters.
2007 (Track and Field): Earned All-American honors with tenth-place finish at NCAA Indoor Championships in the mile ... received All Mid-Con honors indoors after smashing championship record in 3,000m run ... set school record in 3,000m run with time of 9:22.44 at Meyo Invitational ... named Mid-Con Women’s Track and Field Athlete of the Week three times during indoor season ... did not run during outdoor campaign ... a member of the Mid-Con All-Academic team ... named to the Fall 2007 Horizon League Academic Honor Roll ... earned ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District V Second Team honors.
2006 (Cross Country): Named team’s Most Valuable Runner ... earned All-Region honors for the second straight season ... also received First Team All Mid-Con honors for the second consecutive year ... captured first career victory in season opener at the Crusader Invitational, besting teammate Danielle Nunnelly by seven seconds ... first of four top-three finishes on the season ... placed third out of a field of 211 runners at the Indiana Intercollegiates ... posted career-best 5K time of 17:18 at the Notre Dame Invitational, second-best in Crusader history ... broke her own 6K record by over a minute at the NCAA Pre-Nationals ... lowered record by five more seconds, running 20:45.35 at the Mid-Con Championships to place third ... earned a trip to the NCAA Championship meet by finishing third at the Great Lakes Regional ... came home 41st at Nationals, less than 16 seconds away from earning All-America accolades ... earned Mid-Con Athlete of the Week honors on two occasions (9/12, 11/14) ... a Mid-Con All-Academic team member ... named to the Mid-Con Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence ... received Academic All-American accolades from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
2005 (Cross Country): Named Mid-Continent Conference Newcomer of the Year ... earned First Team All-Conference honors, the first Crusader to do so since 2000 ... also named to All-Region team, one of only two Valpo runners to ever earn the distinction ... finished no worse than 25th in any race ... began collegiate career with second place finish at Crusader Invitational ... also finished second at Evansville Invitational, completing 5K course in 17:52.3 ... finished fourth at Mid-Con Championships, covering Sunset Hills Farm 6K in 22:08.5, a school record ... lowered that school record in next race, finishing 25th at NCAA Great Lakes Regional running 22:04.3.
Prep: A four-year letterwinner for the Crusaders ... won two Michigan State Championships ... earned three straight First Team All-State awards from 2001-03 ... a three-time All-Metro Conference honoree ... named team’s Most Valuable Runner four times ... picked up team’s Leadership Award as a senior ... also lettered in track, earning All-State honors four times.
