Patrick Mudd

Volunteer Assistant

Patrick Mudd is in his first first year on Valpo's coaching staff in 2017-18. He graduated from Purdue University Northwest in May 2017 after a noteworthy four-year golf and tennis career. His addition furthers Valpo’s department-wide mission of creating champions in both competition and classroom as Mudd exemplified both during his collegiate career, double majoring in history and political science while competing in two sports and earning CoSIDA Academic All-American honors.

The Crown Point High School graduate was also an all-conference performer during his senior season with the Pride. He has earned numerous awards and honors, including Purdue Calumet Scholar Athlete of the Year (2015-16), Purdue Northwest Student Athlete Advisory Committee Most Valuable Member (2016-17), the John Friend Leadership Award (2016-17) and the National Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities Award (2016, 2017).

Mudd also thrived on the course, shattering the Purdue Calumet program record for the lowest individual round score with a 70 as a sophomore. During his prep tenure, Mudd was a four-year letter winner for the Bulldogs and received all-conference honors as a senior. He was an IHSAA Sectional individual champion in 2012.
