The Valparaiso women's golf team closed out the 54-hole MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial in Springfield, Mo., hosted by Missouri State, on Tuesday, closing the event in tenth place.

The Crusaders shot their lowest team round of the tournament on Tuesday, closing with a round of 318 to end the three-round tournament with a cumulative score of 960, placing tenth out of the 15 competing squads. It was the lowest 54-hole score in program history. Arkansas-Little Rock claimed the team title with an 895, while UALR's Emelie Westrup shot a 218 (+2) to claim individual medalist honors.

Junior Michelle Kleckner (New Brighton, Minn./Irondale) shot Valpo's low round on Tuesday, posting a 74 to match the second-lowest round in program history. Junior Kelly Voigt (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) was Valpo's top individual finisher, shooting an 81 on Tuesday to end with a 234, good for a tie for 25th place. Both totals bested the Crusaders' previous best individual 54-hole score since the program's inception.
