Crusader women finish up competition at Indiana Invitational on Sunday

The Valparaiso women’s golf team posted a 323 team score, which was their best mark of the tournament, in Sunday’s final round at the Indiana Invitational in Bloomington, Ind.

The Crusaders finished in 14th place with a team score of 980. Host Indiana claimed the team tournament honors.

Junior Kelly Voigt (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) posted her best round to the tournament by shooting a 78 in the final round. She finished with a team-best score of 244.

Junior Erika Pfaender (Pewaukee, Wis./Arrowhead) finished with a three-round total of 245.

Junior Brianna Davy (Schererville, Ind./Lake Central) posted a final total of 247.

Junior Michelle Kleckner (New Brighton, Minn./Irondale) shot a final round score of 79 to finish at 249.

Sophomore A.J. Selig (Hortonville, Wis./Appleton West) finished with a three-round total of 251.

The Crusaders return to action on Friday, April 26 for the first round of the Horizon League Championship at Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
