The Valparaiso women's golf team has finished in 17th place at the LeTriomphe Collegiate Invitational at LeTriomphe G.C. in Broussard, La., as Tuesday's scheduled final round was canceled due to wet grounds.

Senior Erika Pfaender (Pewaukee, Wis./Arrowhead) led the Crusaders in the opening tournament of the spring season, finishing the now 36-hole event with a score of 161, good for a tie for 47th place. Valpo returns to the links next month on Monday, Mar. 10 at the Benbow Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla.
