Gill, Gaugert Finish Top-15 As Crusaders Close Out Horizon League Championship


Sibil Gill and Annie Gaugert led Valpo with an 80 (242) and 86 (246) to finish in 14th and 15th, respectively, at the Horizon League Championship in Florida. The Crusaders finished in sixth place as a team with the eighth lowest 54-hole score in school history.


Crusaders Cut 15 Strokes, Move Up at Horizon League Championship


Sibil Gill shot a 76 to move up 13 spots on the leader board on day two action at the Horizon League Championship. The Crusaders slashed 15 strokes off their score to move into fourth place heading into the final day of actioin.

Annie Gaugert tied her career low for 18 holes and finished in a tie for fifth place on day one of the Horizon League Women's Golf Championship. The Crusaders finished round one in fifth place.


Men's and Women's Golf Set For Horizon League Championships


The Valparaiso University men’s and women’s golf teams have invaded the Sunshine State, looking to bring home the hardware from the 2015 Horizon League Golf Championships at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. this weekend. Men's golf head coach David Gring and women's golf head coach Mat Blair joined the Valpo Coaches Show prior to their departure to preview the championship event.

Angie Gaugert and Katie Willenbrink both won their matches on Saturday in the IUPUI/Valpo Match Play while Gaugert and Sibil Gill recorded top-five 54 tournament lows.

Sibil Gill recorded an eagle in her 2 and 1 match play win while shooting a 77 at the IUPUI/Valpo Match Play at Purgatory Golf Course in Noblesville, Ind. Angie Gaugert also carded a 77 en route to a win.
