Missouri Valley Conference Commissioner Doug Elgin has named 10 student-athletes State Farm MVC Good Neighbor Award recipients for the 2018 spring season. Valparaiso University women’s golf junior Madison McCreary (Batesville, Ind. / Batesville) was among those honored as the conference announced the winners on Thursday.

McCreary, who owns a 3.63 cumulative GPA in elementary education with minors in special education and mathematics, was named to the league honor roll in 2016 and 2017 and the Dean's List in spring 2016 and 2017.

McCreary’s community service includes participating in Gamma Phi Beta, Student Alumni Association, University Programming Council, free movies on the West Lawn, Spring Concert, Kappa Delta Pi, an International Honor Society for Education, babysitting nights, supply drives for classrooms in need, Tri-County Council Summer Camp (three summers) and Batesville Mayor's Youth Council.

McCreary competed in 17 rounds this season and posted an 83.59 scoring average with a low round of 76.
