Eichenauer, Fay Golf Sub-80 Rounds on Season’s Final Day
A pair of Valparaiso University women’s golfers turned in sub-80 scores on Tuesday as the Beacons closed out the 2021-2022 season with the final day of the Missouri Valley Conference Championship, hosted at the par-71, 5830-yard Greenbriar Country Club in Kirkwood, Mo. Kelsey Eichenauer (North Manchester, Ind. / Manchester) turned in the team’s top score, followed closely by freshman Anna Fay (Ada, Mich. / Forest Hills).

Fay Posts Valpo’s Top Score on Day 2 at MVC Championship
The Valparaiso University women’s golf team was led by freshman Anna Fay (Ada, Mich. / Forest Hills), who posted the team’s top 18-hole score on Monday at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship. The team competed in the middle round of the three-round event at the par-71, 5830-yard Greenbriar Hills Country Club course in Kirkwood, Mo.

The three-day Missouri Valley Conference Championship got underway for the Valparaiso University women’s golf team on Sunday at the par-71, 5830-yard Greenbriar Hills Country Club in Kirkwood, Mo. The Beacons were led in the opening round by Cailey Rooker (St. Joseph, Mich. / St. Joseph).

Keil Leads Valpo at Redbird Spring Invitational
The Valparaiso University women’s golf team competed in its final event prior to the Missouri Valley Conference Championship on Saturday at the par-72, 6034-yard Weibring Golf Club in Normal, Ill. The Beacons were led by Madison Keil (LaGrange, Ind. / Lakeland) as the entirety of the 36-hole event was played on Saturday after weather conditions caused the cancellation of Friday’s round and shortened the tournament from 54 holes to 36.

Kier Turns in Career Best in Round 2 at Indiana State
Senior Morgan Kier (Brownsburg, Ind. / Brownsburg) turned in the best round of her collegiate career on Monday, leading the Valparaiso University women’s golf team on the final day of the Indiana State Invitational, played at the par-72, 6041-yard Country Club of Terre Haute in Terre Haute, Ind.

Women’s Golf Closes Out Fall Season
The Valparaiso University women’s golf team finished up the fall portion of its 2021-2022 season on Tuesday at the Dayton Fall Invitational, hosted at the par-70, 5968-yard NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio. The Beacons matched their team score from Monday’s opening round to crack the program record book in 36-hole team score, while Madison Keil (LaGrange, Ind. / Lakeland) led the way with a strong showing in Round 2.

For the second consecutive day, a pair of freshmen sat atop the team leaderboard for the Valparaiso University women’s golf team on Sunday. Anna Fay (Ada, Mich. / Forest Hills) provided the team’s top score of the day at the Bradley Coyote Creek Classic, a two-day, 54-hole event hosted by the Braves at the par-72, 6019-yard Coyote Creek Golf Club in Bartonville, Ill. Valpo’s second-best Round-3 performance came from fellow freshman Madison Keil (LaGrange, Ind. / Lakeland), who achieved the team’s top overall score for the tournament.

The Valparaiso University women’s golf team opened up play at the Bradley Coyote Creek Classic on Saturday, a two-day, 54-hole event hosted by the Braves at the par-72, 6019-yard Coyote Creek Golf Club in Bartonville, Ill. Valpo’s top two performers were both freshmen as Madison Keil (LaGrange, Ind. / Lakeland) and Anna Fay (Ada, Mich. / Forest Hills) accounted for the team’s best Day-1 scores.

Women’s Golf Closes Out Second-Best 54-Hole Showing in Program History
For the second time in three tournaments this fall, the Valparaiso University women’s golf team has put together a 54-hole tournament performance better than any in program history prior to this season. This time the Beacons posted the program’s second-best 54-hole overall score (behind only the record set earlier this season) by compiling a strong team performance at the Butler Fall Invitational, hosted at the par-70, 6010-yard Highland Golf and Country Club in Indianapolis.

Women’s Golf Establishes Program Record at Redbird Invitational
The Valparaiso University women’s golf team started the 2021-2022 season in record-setting fashion at this weekend’s Redbird Invitational, which concluded on Monday at the par-72, 6022-yard Weibring Golf Club in Normal, Ill. Valpo closed out the weekend with its best round of the event, in the process polishing off a new program record for 54-hole team score, both overall and in relation to par.

Rooker Celebrates Birthday with Career-Low Round as Women’s Golf Begins Season
Junior Cailey Rooker (St. Joseph, Mich. / St. Joseph) celebrated her birthday in style by putting together a pair of quality rounds for the Valparaiso University women’s golf team on Sunday. Rooker led the way for the Beacons, who utilized a lineup comprised of two newcomers and three returning players for the first tournament of the season – the Redbird Invitational, hosted by Illinois State at the par-72, 6022-yard Weibring Golf Club in Normal, Ill.
