Six Valpo Soccer Players Named Academic All-District

The Valpo soccer program had six players recognized as Academic All-District honorees as College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) released its women’s soccer Academic All-District roll on Tuesday.

Five seniors were among Valpo’s six Academic All-District selections, including a pair with perfect 4.0 GPAs — Allie Anderson (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton Warrenville South [Xavier]), an exercise science major, and Abbey Hillman (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central [Loyola), an accounting major.

Two double majors in biology and chemistry earned recognition — Nicole Norfolk (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Divine Savior Holy Angels), with a 3.962 GPA, and Natalie Graf (Williamsburg, Mich./St. Francis), with a 3.721 GPA. Kiley Dugan (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford), who owns a 3.566 GPA as an English major, rounds out the quintet of seniors who were honored, while junior Nikki Coryell (Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley) received the accolade as well, as she carries a 3.959 GPA as an accounting and sports management double major.

All six Beacons will be on the ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
