Kristen Templin

Assistant Coach

Kristen Templin enters her first season as an assistant coach for Valparaiso University in 2004.  A former goalkeeper for the Crusaders, she will assist with various aspects of the program. These duties include leading the reserve team.

Templin played for the Brown and Gold from 2000-2003 where she earned Second Team All Mid-Continent Conference honors as a junior.  She also was named to the Mid-Con All-Tournament Team in 2002, the same season in which she earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades.

Throughout her career, she saw action in 37 matches between the posts and ranks third on Valpo’s minutes played list in goal with 2493.  She made 196 stops in goal, with her .763 career save percentage ranking second on the Valpo charts.  Templin finished her four-year career with a 2.20 goals against average.  She also finished with three shutouts, tied for third most in school history.

Templin earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Valpo in 2004.  She also holds her United States Soccer Federation “E” License.
