Valpo Swept at Saint Louis

Valparaiso dropped all three decisions at a triple-dual meet on Wednesday morning in Saint Louis, Mo.

The Crusaders were edged out by IUPUI 111-104 while also falling to Saint Louis 159-64 and Centenary 132-76.

Jaclyn Krause (Rochester, Mich./Notre Dame Prep H.S.) turned in a runner-up finish for Valpo in the 100 freestyle with a time of 55.06 seconds.

Valpo's 200 free relay of Krause, Kati Smethurst (Grand Ledge, Mich./Grand Ledge H.S.), Anna Kampling (Iowa City, Iowa/West H.S.), and Rachel Majercik (Schaumburg, Ill./Conant H.S.) finished with a mark of 1:41.45.

Kampling also turned in a third place finish in the 50 freestyle for the Brown and Gold with her time of 25.73 seconds. Amanda Gregory (Carmel, Ind./Carmel H.S.) also finished third in the 500 free touching the wall in 5:24.55.

Valparaiso (3-11) will take a couple of weeks off for the holiday break before returning to action on January 6 in Tampa, Fla. at the Tampa Invitational. The meet begins at 10 a.m. CST.
