Valparaiso’s women’s swimming and diving team took part in a quadrangular meet in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday afternoon, dropping each of its three contests.
The Crusaders fell 189-41 against host Cleveland State, 176-60 versus Niagara, and 184-46 against Saint Bonaventure.
Rachel Majercik (Schaumburg, Ill./Conant H.S.) led the way for the Crusaders with a fifth place finish in the 200 freestyle, turning in a time of 1:59.79.
Justine Barnes (Rochester Hills, Mich./Adams H.S.) matched the fifth place effort in the 200 butterfly, posting a mark of 2:16.79.
Stephanie Ferschl (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago H.S.) placed seventh in the 500 free with a time of 5:33.69 while also finishing eighth in the 1000 free in 11:19.84.
Amy Andracki (Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect H.S.) touched the wall in 2:35.27 in the 200 breaststroke to finish seventh while Laura Rickey (Monmouth, Ill./Monmouth-Roseville H.S.) added an eight place finish in the 100 free, finishing in 57.35 seconds.
Valparaiso (0-4) will return to action next Friday night against Green Bay in Green Bay, Wis. The first race begins at 6 p.m.
