Returning home to the Athletics-Recreation Center pool for the first time since October, Valparaiso’s women’s swim team fell to Green Bay by the score of 161-43 on Friday night.
The Crusaders opened with a runner-up finish in the 200 medley relay. Natalie Jarrett (Lebanon, Ind./Western Boone H.S.), Amy Andracki (Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect H.S.), Shaunna Dangremond (Tucson, Ariz./Sabino H.S.), and Laura Rickey (Monmouth, Ill./Monmouth-Roseville H.S.) turned in the team’s top time of the season to date with a mark of 1:52.57.
Jarrett added a second place finish individually in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:16.61. Justine Barnes (Rochester Hills, Mich./Adams H.S.) also finished runner-up in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:01.93.
Andracki had the Brown and Gold’s final second place finish of the night in the 100 breaststroke with her time of 1:10.30, less than a second off of the pace.
Valparaiso (1-7) will have three meets next weekend beginning Friday night in Indianapolis against IUPUI and Saint Louis. The meet begins at 5 p.m. at the IUPUI Natatorium.
