Valparaiso University's women's swimming and diving team concluded its weekend road trip with a 115-84 loss at Wisconsin-Green Bay on Saturday afternoon.
The Crusaders tallied just one victory on the day, as Amanda Gregory (Carmel, Ind./Carmel H.S.) posted a win in the 50 freestyle. The freshman touched the wall in 25.91 seconds, just .05 seconds in front of her nearest competitor.
Britt Nelson (Cortland, N.Y./Homer H.S.) earned a runner-up finish in the 500 freestyle with a time of 11:15.15, while senior Katie Urbas (Ballwin, Mo./Marquette H.S.) also finished second, doing so in the 200 butterfly. Urbas finished with a time of 2:17.70.
Valpo (1-2) will take two weeks off before returning to the pool December 4-6 at the Mid-Continent Conference Swimming and Diving Championships held in Indianapolis, Ind.
