Valparaiso's women's swimming and diving team defeated Butler 130-73 on Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis, Ind., but fell to Saint Louis 152-60 in a double-dual meet.

Leah Schneider (Sussex, Wis./Arrowhead H.S.) posted a runner-up finish for the Crusaders in the 100 freestyle with a time of 56.28 seconds, just .58 seconds behind Saint Louis.

Schneider was Valpo's lone top-two finish on the afternoon, as the Crusaders finished in third place in every other individual event. The Brown and Gold place second in both the 200 medley relay (1:55.24) and 200 free relay (1:44.12).

The Crusaders will conclude the home portion of their schedule on Saturday afternoon as Valpo entertains Eastern Illinois in a 1 p.m. meet at the Athletics-Recreation Center.
