Valpo opened the conference portion of their schedule in Dayton Sunday with a 7-0 loss to Wright State.

The Raiders (6-9, 1-1) took the doubles point with an 8-2 win at No. 1 and an 8-3 victory at No. 2.

Sophomore Angelina Goheen was the lone Crusader to register games in both sets of her singles match at No. 5, falling 6-1, 6-3.

Junior Kristin Zakiewicz and sophomore Kaitlyn Hamel both suffered 6-3, 6-0 losses at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively.

Valparaiso (1-12, 0-1) looks to snap a nine-match losing streak next Saturday when it welcomes Milwaukee (8-5, 1-0) to town for a 7:00 pm CT match at the Courts of NWI.

The Crusaders will challenge Green Bay at 2:30 pm CT next Sunday at the Courts of NWI.
