Valparaiso University's women's tennis team will head to Evanston, Ill. on Friday, May 13 as the Crusaders will face Northwestern in the Brown and Gold's first NCAA Tournament appearance in school history.
Valpo (15-4, 8-0 Mid-Con), the Mid-Continent Conference regular season and tournament champions, enters the tournament having won their last 12 matches of the season. Northwestern (24-2, 10-0 Big 10), the number five seed nationally, is the Big 10 regular season and tournament champions. The Wildcats have won 13 straight matches entering the NCAA Tournament.
The First Round match time will be determined at a later time. The Valpo-Northwestern victor will face the winner of the other first round match in Evanston between Notre Dame and Iowa on Saturday, May 14.
