The doubles duo of Rachel Janssen (Fort Wayne, Ind./Dwenger H.S.) and Jill Dierberg (Saint Louis, Mo./Lutheran South H.S.) posted a first round victory on Friday afternoon at the Windy City Invitational held in Chicago, Ill.

Janssen and Dierberg recorded an 8-4 triumph over Jackie Colvin and Shoshi Drieger 8-4 to advance to Saturday's semifinal match.

Dierberg also played a first round singles match in the B Flight but fell 7-5, 6-4 to Kara Courtney of Xavier (Ohio). She will play in the consolation draw beginning on Saturday.

Janssen is competing in the A Flight and had a first round bye. She will face Jackie Vilines of Xavier in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

Saturday's play begins at 9 a.m.
