Crusader senior Laura Rolf (Rochester, Mich./Lutheran Northwest) has been named the Horizon League Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.

Rolf defeated a field of 23 runners in the 5,000m run at the Chicagoland Championships, breaking the tape in 16:59.88, almost 40 seconds ahead of her closest competitor.  It was a new career-best time in the event for the senior, who moved into second place on Valpo’s all-time chart in the event, less than three seconds behind record-holder Collette Liss.
