Senior Sarah Drozdowski (Roselle, Ill./Lake Park) has been named Horizon League Field Athlete of the Week for her impressive performance this past Saturday at the Hillsdale Winter Opener.

Drozdowski was one of four Crusaders who secured second-place finishes in their respective events, and the only Crusaders to have done so in two separate events. Drozdowski first took second-place in the weight throw, throwing for a distance of 56’0”. Next, in the shot put, Drozdowski’s distance of 41’7 ¼” was not only good for second-place in the meet, but also good for the third on the Crusader’s all-time chart.

Drozdowski and the Crusaders return to action on Friday, January 17^th, when they travel to Allendale, Mich. to compete in the GVSU Invitational.
