Valparaiso University's Jessica Cherrington (Roseburg, Ore./Umpqua Valley Christian H.S.) finished in 22nd place in the javelin on Friday afternoon at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships held in Columbus, Ohio.

The sophomore turned entered the competition seeded 24th and turned in a performance of 121'6" with her best toss. Cherrington, the Mid-Continent Conference champion, turned in her best effort with the second of her three throws in the competition.

With the completion of the NCAA Regional Championships, the Crusaders outdoor track and field season has come to a close.
