Crusaders Begin Outdoor Season in Florida
Jazmin Taylor took second in the high jump on Friday at the USF Invitational.

The Valparaiso women’s track and field team opened their outdoor season on Friday at the USF Invitational in Tampa, Fla.

Jazmin Taylor (Rock Island, Ill./Rock Island) finished second in the high jump with her leap of 1.64m/5-4.5.

Hannah Reynard (Jackson, Mich./Napoleon) finished fifth in the 400 meter hurdles with the fourth fastest time in school history (1:05.57).

Laura Lacquement (Martensdale, Iowa/Martensdale Saint Mary's) set personal bests in the 100m (13.42) and 200m (27.30). Asia Banks (Richton Park, Ill./Marian Catholic) also set personal bests in the 200m (28.32) and 100m (13.67).

Ann Chapman (Washington, Ill./Washington Community) finished 11th in the triple jump with her mark 9.92m/32-6.50.

The Crusaders return to the track on April 21 for the Bulldog Opener at Butler University.
