2023 (Cross Country): Started the season by finishing 20th overall and second on the team in the Valparaiso Winrow Open at 19:04 in the 5K on Sept. 1... Paced the team with a time of 22:44.5 in the 6K on Sept. 15 at the Redbird Invite... Led the team in the women’s 5K with a time of 18:25.0 at the Notre Dame Joe Piane Invitational on Sept. 29... Led the team in the women’s 6K at 22:36.60 at the Bradley Pink Classic on Oct. 13... Became the first Valpo woman to crack the program’s all-time top five in the 6K since 2014 on Oct. 27 at the MVC Championship, finishing the race in 22:13.5... Led the team in the women’s 6K at the NCAA Regional on Nov. 10, stopping the clock in 22:24.3.

2023 (Track & Field): Had the team’s top indoor 5,000 mark of the season at 17:33.56, which ranks fourth in the program record book… PRs in the indoor 3,000 (10:29.96) and indoor 5,000 (17:33.56) came during the MVC Indoor Championships... Earned Valparaiso University Presidential Academic Honors... Earned CSC Academic All-District recognition. 

2022 (Cross Country): Made her season debut with a 6K time of 23:50.44 to lead the team at the Spartan Invite on Sept. 16... Led the team with a 5K of 18:54.9 at the Joe Piane – Notre Dame Invitational on Sept. 30... Cracked the program record book with the sixth-fastest 6K in program history at 22:28.6 on Oct. 14 at the Bradley Pink Classic.

2022 (Track & Field): Turned in the team’s top mark of the season in the indoor mile at 5:08.36 at the Meyo Invitational... Paced the squad in the indoor 3,000 at 10:33.22 at the MVC Indoor Championships... Posted the squad’s top outdoor times of the season in the 1,500 (4:44.17) and 5,000 (17:35.57)... Her outdoor 5,000 time ranked third in program lore and was Valpo’s best performance in that event since 2006... Earned Valparaiso University Presidential Academic Honors.

2021 (Cross Country): Led the team with a 5K time of 19:41.6 at the Valparaiso Winrow Open on Sept. 3... Had the team’s top finish with a 6K time of 23:08 at the Illinois State Invite on Sept. 17... Led the Beacons with a 19:19.4 on Oct. 1 at the Notre Dame – Joe Piane Invitational’s 5K... Paced the team for a fourth straight meet with a 23:14.2 in the 6K at the Bradley Pink Classic on Oct. 15... Was second on the squad with a 23:33.5 in the 6K at the MVC Championship on Oct. 29... Led the team in the Nov. 12 NCAA Great Lakes Regional, turning in a 22:58.2 on the 6K course.

2021 (Track & Field): Led the team in the indoor mile with a season best of 5:17.48 on Feb. 13 at the GVSU Big Meet… Also competed in the indoor 3,000-meter run, finishing with a season-best time of 11:01.00 on Jan. 29 at the GVSU Bill Clinger Classic… Had a season-best in the outdoor 800 on March 19 at the SIU Bill Cornell Invite with a 2:24.74… Cracked the program record book in the outdoor 1,500-meter run on May 14 at the MVC Outdoor Championship, posting a time of 4:38.31, fourth in program history… Also led the team in the outdoor 5000, clocking a season-best 17:57.05 on April 16 at the Gibson Invitational… Named to MVC Academic Honor Roll.

2020-21 (Cross Country): Ranked second on the team and first on the team among freshmen in the MVC Cross Country Championship on March 3 at Evansville with a time of 19:23.4.

Prep (Athletic): State qualifier, team MVP and first-team all-conference selection during her time running cross country for the Highland Trojans… Also a team MVP in track & field, qualifying for state and establishing a school record in the 4x800 while winning a sectional crown in the 800… Earned first team academic all-state in both cross country and track & field… Also played basketball and soccer.

Prep (Academic/Community): Member of student council and Japanese club… Northwest Crossroads Conference Scholar-Athlete, Highland High School Senior Scholar-Athlete and cross country academic all-conference performer… Also a member of her school’s National Honor Society and Japanese Honor Society.

Personal: Enjoys reading, journaling and playing ukulele… Family is involved in Girls on the Run of Northwest Indiana… Daughter of Jodi and Brian Aurand… Has two siblings – Elijah and Faith.
