Valparaiso University’s Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and Student Services/Senior Woman Administrator Jennifer Samble has been appointed to the NCAA’s administration cabinet and will begin a four-year term that runs through 2012.

            Samble, who has been Valpo’s SWA for the past six years, was nominated by the Horizon League for the position on the cabinet which consists of 21 members from Division I institutions and conference offices.  The cabinet is responsible for administrative functions within Division I including governance issues, NCAA membership process, and all committee selections.  Committees that report to the cabinet include Walter Byers Award, honors, postgraduate scholarship, and research.

            Samble previously served on the NCAA championships and competitions cabinet from 2005-2007 as the Mid-Continent Conference’s representative.
