The Valparaiso University Department of Athletics continued its trend of academic success this week as the NCAA released its most recent Graduation Success Rate (GSR) data. Valpo owns an 89 percent GSR, its best rate since also posting a GSR of 89 in 2013-14.

Seven Valpo programs achieved perfect scores for the current cohort – baseball, men’s golf, men’s swimming, women’s golf, softball, women’s tennis and women’s cross country / track & field.

This year’s rate tied for the department’s best since the 2011-2012 academic year. Valpo has posted a GSR of 82 or better every year since the NCAA began compiling these figures with the incoming freshman class of 1995. The most recent Division-I Graduation Success Rates are based on the four entering classes from 2010-13.
