JT Klopcic joined the Valpo Athletics staff as Assistant Academic Support Coordinator in the summer of 2020. Klopcic works directly with the men's and women's cross country and track and field and men's and women's swimming programs, as well as football's defensive and special team players. He also serves as the secondary contact within the Academic Support and Student Services unit for SAAC.

Klopcic comes to Valpo from Stevenson University, where he conducted both his undergraduate and graduate studies. He was a two-sport student-athlete at Stevenson, competing in both track and field and soccer. While at Stevenson, Klopcic was an integral member of SAAC, rising to serve as President. He was a member of the Middle Atlantic Conferences SAAC, serving as a member of the student-athlete well-being committee, and served on SAAC at the NCAA level as well.

Most recently, Klopcic was a graduate assistant in the Stevenson University Online office, while also working as an assistant track and field coach at nearby Goucher College.

Klopcic earned his bachelor's degree from Stevenson in 2019 in counseling and human services, and received his master's degree in 2020 in community-based education and leadership - student-athlete well-being. He is currently enrolled at Concordia (Ore.) in the doctorate of education in higher education program, with an anticipated graduation in 2023.
