The Valparaiso University Crusaders will meet the Indiana University Hoosiers in a spotlight college baseball game at RailCats Stadium on Wednesday, May 14.

RailCats Stadium is a state-of-the-art baseball facility located along the Indiana Toll Road in downtown Gary.

Valparaiso coach Paul Twenge will lead the Crusaders against the Hoosiers, led by coach Bob Morgan, in the first collegiate game to be played at the RailCats Stadium. The Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame recently honored Twenge for recording his 400th victory during the 2001 season. Morgan has had over 40 of his players, including former Cubs second baseman Mickey Morandini, play baseball professionally.

The Valpo - IU game will begin at 6 p.m. Tickets, priced at $5 for adults and $2 for kids (13 & under), will be available at the RailCats' ticket office at RailCats Stadium, as well as on the Valparaiso University and Indiana University campuses. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit each university's baseball program.
