Promotional Days Set for Horizon League Baseball Championship

Several promotional ticket prices have been planned in conjunction with the Horizon League Baseball Championship to be held next week at U. S. Steel Yard in Gary, Ind.

The opening day of the tournament, Wednesday, May 26, is Senior Citizen Appreciation Day where day passes will cost just $3 for those individuals 65 and older with valid ID.  Games on Wednesday are slated for 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Thursday, May 27, is Emergency Services Personnel Appreciation Day where anyone affiliated with fire, police, or paramedics will be admitted for just $4 when dressed in uniform or presenting employment ID.  Thursday games are set for 11 a.m., 3 pm., and 7 p.m.

On Friday, May 28, Armed Forces Appreciation Day will take place where anyone with a military ID or dressed in uniform will be admitted to the games for just $4.  Again games will take place at 11 a.m., 3 p.m., and 7 p.m.

Little League Appreciation Day will be held on Saturday, May 29, where anyone 12 years old or younger dressed in their baseball uniform will be admitted for just $3.  Saturday games will be held at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., with the latter game the first of potentially two championship contests.

Tickets for the Horizon League Championship will be available at the gate on the days of the games, with all seating being general admission.  Regular day passes, which are good for every game on a particular day, are just $8 for adults and $6 for senior citizens (65 and older) and youth (12 and under).  Full tournament passes, good for admission to every game throughout the week, will be available for $20, with senior citizens and youth tournament passes costing $15.

Pairings for the tournament will be announced Sunday or Monday with the championship beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
