The Valparaiso University baseball team has announces that it is holding walk-on tryouts for the 2019 roster on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018.

Tryouts will start at 4 p.m. and interested participants should report to Emory G. Bauer Field at Eastgate Fields by 3:30 p.m. Players trying out should bring all of the necessary equipment (bats, gloves, cleats and, if necessary, catching gear). Those trying out will be put through a variety of workouts and drills.

Prospective players are required to complete a pre-participation physical exam form, have had a physical exam in the past year and sign the NCAA drug testing consent form prior to the tryout.

The pre-participation exam and NCAA drug testing consent forms can be picked up in the Valpo Baseball Offices at Eastgate. All forms must be returned to assistant coach in the baseball office by no later than Aug.  21 in order to participate in the tryout. In addition, all players must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours at Valparaiso University.
