Valparaiso University wide receiver Rob Giancola was selected to the 2003 I-AA Mid-Major Preseason All-America Team by The Sports Network.

Giancola, a 6'0', 215-pound junior, finished second in the Pioneer Football League and 12th nationally in receiving yards with 1,103 in 2002. A graduate of Whiting, Ind./HS, Giancola made 51 receptions and tied Valpo's single-season record with 11 touchdown receptions last season.
