As temperatures warm up, the Valparaiso football team will continue its slate of 2013 spring practices at Brown Field, culminating in the annual Brown-Gold spring game on April 20.

Head coach Dale Carlson has 73 players on the roster this spring as he readies the team for his fourth season at the helm of the Brown and Gold.

The Crusaders kicked off their month of spring practices on March 20, and will practice Wednesday and Friday afternoons at 3:30 p.m. each of the next three weeks. Valpo will hold full scrimmages each of the next two Saturdays - April 6 and 13 - at 9 a.m. before wrapping up spring practice with the Brown-Gold spring game on April 20 at 11 a.m. All practices and scrimmages, in addition to the spring game, are open to the public free of charge.

Valparaiso will open the 2013 season on the road at North Dakota on Thursday, August 29.
