The Valparaiso University men’s basketball program has added another national television date as the Missouri Valley Conference revealed its CBS Sports Network slate on Thursday.

Valpo’s short trip west to visit Loyola on Chicago’s north side on Tuesday, Jan. 11 will receive national television exposure as the Beacons and Ramblers will tip at 8 p.m. CT on CBS Sports Network.

Valpo fell 54-52 to the No. 22/23 Ramblers in a near upset the last time the team competed in Gentile Arena – Feb. 17 of last season. The CBS Sports Network game will mark the second of two national TV appearances for Valpo during the 2021-2022 conference slate, both road games against NCAA Tournament teams from last season. The defending Missouri Valley Conference champion Ramblers went 26-5 overall and 16-2 in MVC play a year ago en route to a Sweet Sixteen appearance.

Valpo’s other national television date is Dec. 2 at Drake on ESPNU. The conference office will reveal the MVC TV Network (Bally Sports Network / NBC Sports Chicago) package on Friday.

Valpo is no stranger to national television exposure, as the game at Loyola will mark the program’s 66^th national television appearance since 2010-11. In addition, this marks the 107^th time in that span that Valpo Basketball has appeared on either national or regional television.
