2020-21 (Wisconsin): Appeared in nine games during his third year on Wisconsin’s campus… Drained his only 3-point attempt of the season, which came on Dec. 19 vs. Louisville.

2019-20 (Wisconsin): Appeared in six games in his second season with the Badgers... Scored the first two points of his career and grabbed a rebound in a win over Green Bay on Nov. 21... Underwent successful knee surgery on Dec. 21, forcing him to miss the remainder of the season.

2018-19 (Wisconsin): Did not see game action and redshirted during his first year of college.

Prep: Averaged 14.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game as a senior at Hopkins, helping the Royals to a record of 26-2 and a final national rank of No. 38... Named a Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association All-Star… Averaged 8.5 points per game as a junior and 12.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game with his AAU team, the Minnesota Comets, in 2017... Was prep teammates with former Minnesota standout and current Los Angeles Clippers guard Amir Coffey.

Personal: Son of Peter and Sharon Hedstrom... Has three older sisters, Bethany, Emily and Andrea, and an older brother, Eric... Father, Peter, played basketball at St. Olaf College and mother, Sharon, played basketball at Bethel University... Aunt, Mary Hedstrom, and cousin, Joanna Hedstrom, played basketball at the University of Minnesota... Grandfather, Burt Hedstrom, played basketball, football and baseball at Northwestern University (1944-47)... Majoring in communication with a strong interest in radio, TV and film… Plans to finish his undergraduate degree at Valpo as quickly as possible and hopes to pursue a master’s before finishing out his time on campus… Is an avid fisherman and Valpo’s proximity to Lake Michigan added to the attractiveness of continuing his career with the Brown & Gold.
