Meacham to Join Valpo Track & Field, Cross Country Programs

The Valparaiso University track & field and cross country programs have announced that distance runner Noah Meacham (Tulsa, Okla. / Broken Arrow) will join the fold for the 2023-2024 academic and athletic year as an incoming freshman.

“I couldn’t be more excited to welcome Noah to the team,” Valpo Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Vincent Walker said. “He is a top talent all the way from Oklahoma. From the first moment I saw him interact with the team, I knew he was going to be a great fit for our program. He is a highly-motivated and goal-driven individual. His raw talent and competitive mindset will have a large impact on the team next fall. I can’t wait to get to work with him.”

Meacham’s long list of accomplishments includes Frontier Valley Conference championships in cross country and the 3,200 in addition to finishing as the conference runner-up in the 1,600. He earned all-region and all-state accolades in cross country while finishing seventh at state in the 3,200.

Meacham has earned Tulsa World Cross Country Athlete of the Week and received honorable mention status for Tulsa World Cross Country Athlete of the Year honors. He ranks sixth in Broken Arrow High School history in the 5K.

“The team atmosphere at Valpo is amazing,” Meacham said. “I love how supportive and friendly everyone is and I love the dynamic between the team and Coach Walker. I think big things are coming for the program, and I want to be a part of it and help make those big things happen.”
