Valparaiso junior Kyle Henning (Brookfield, Wis./East) has been named Horizon League Golfer of the Week after finishing in a tie for third at last weekend’s Beu Mussatto Invitational in Macomb, Ill.

Henning finished with a three-round total of 219, finishing two shots behind the winner.

He opened play with a 1-under round of 71. That round featured five birdies. Henning followed his opening round up with rounds of 73 and 75, leading the Crusaders to a sixth-place finish at Mussatto Invitational.

Henning and the Crusaders hit the links on Saturday for the first day of the Bradley Invitational in Peoria, Ill.
