The Valparaiso University men’s and women’s golf teams were slated to compete in the Bradley Spring Classic hosted at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. this weekend. Wet course conditions and rain in the forecast have forced the cancellation of the tournament.

The youth of the Valparaiso University men’s golf team continued to thrive on Tuesday at the Derek Dolenc Invitational hosted by SIU Edwardsville in Madison, Ill. Freshman Garrett Willis (Fort Wayne, Ind. / Homestead) garnered a Top 20 finish in the 96-player event, turning in a team-best 72 (+1) in Round 3 to finish at 216. As a team, Valpo placed ninth of 17.


Men’s Golf Ahead of Four MVC Foes at Derek Dolenc Invitational

The Valparaiso University men’s golf team is off to a promising start through two rounds of the Derek Dolenc Invitational, standing in eighth of 17 teams with an 18-hole score of 584. The Valparaiso University men’s golf team rounded out a successful home tournament on Tuesday with the final 18 holes of the Crusader Collegiate at Sand Creek Country Club in Chesterton.
