VanArragon Shares Top Spot at Spirit Hollow Shootout
Caleb VanArragon carded even par on Wednesday.

Junior Caleb VanArragon (Blaine, Minn. / Blaine) shared individual medalist honors as the Valparaiso University men’s golf team competed in the Spirit Hollow Fall Shootout on Wednesday at the par-72, 7297-yard Spirit Hollow GC in Burlington, Iowa. The Beacons competed against Missouri Valley Conference foes Bradley and Drake in a single-round, stroke-play event.

How It Happened

  • VanArragon carded an even par 72, sharing the top location on the player leaderboard with the Drake duo of Tim Lim and Silvester Tan.
  • Also achieving a top-10 finish was senior Garrett Willis (Fort Wayne, Ind. / Homestead), who placed 10th after carding a 77.
  • As a team, Valpo turned in a 309 (+21) and finished third in the event. Drake came out on a top with a 296 (+8).
