Cailean Bailey enters his first full year as Valparaiso’s Director of Soccer Operations after joining the program in the spring of 2009.  In his position, Bailey is responsible for assisting in training, travel and video, while also helping to organize and assist at camps and clinics.

Bailey owns previous coaching experience at the Jacksonville [Ill.] Soccer Club, where he coached from 2007-2008.  He currently holds his USSF “D” license, as well as NSCAA Level I and Level II Goalkeeping Diplomas.

Bailey was a four-year letterwinner at Illinois College, where he served as team captain for three seasons.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and rhetorical science, as well as a bachelor’s degree in management and organizational leadership (sport), from Illinois College in 2008, and is currently working towards his master’s degree in sports administration at Valpo.
