Valpo Men Fall at Green Bay Friday Night

            The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay posted individual victories in all 13 events on Friday night as the Phoenix registered a 153.5-66.5 victory over Valparaiso in Green Bay, Wis.

            Adam Jajtner (Port Washington, Wis./Port Washington H.S.) earned a pair of runner-up finishes for the Brown and Gold in freestyle races.  The junior finished second in the 1,000 with a time of 10:22.39.  Jajtner also was second in the 500 later in the evening, touching the wall in 4:58.06.

            David Sivak (Hobart, Ind./Hobart H.S.) also finished second in two races for the Crusaders.  The freshman was runner-up in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.08 seconds, just .12 seconds off of the pace.  He also finished second in the 100 free with a mark of 49.31 seconds.

            “We swam well today for the first half of a two-day trip,” head coach Bryan Morrison said.  “Now we will see what tomorrow brings.”

            Valparaiso will return to the pool on Saturday afternoon as the Crusaders head to Milwaukee.  First race against the Panthers is set for 1 p.m.
