For the first time in over two months Valparaiso returned to dual meet competition on Saturday afternoon, as the Crusaders fell to UIC 159-69 in Chicago, Ill.

The Flames posted a victory in every event, leading to the win.

David Sivak’s (Hobart, Ind./Hobart H.S.) season-best time of 52.43 seconds in the 100 butterfly helped him capture second place in the event, Valpo’s top individual finish.

Trevor Trimpe (New Palestine, Ind./Connersville H.S.) matched the runner-up finish in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:02.49.

Valparaiso (0-7) will return to the water on Sunday afternoon in Fishers, Ind. when the Crusaders face Ball State, Youngstown State, and Eastern Illinois.  The first race begins at 12 p.m. CST.
