Four More Records Set By Men’s Swimming at MAC Championships
The 2021-22 Valpo men’s swimming team continued to rewrite the program’s record book on Friday, setting four program records in addition to multiple other top-10 placements on the third day of the MAC Championships from Carbondale, Ill. Valpo’s relays remained perfect at the championship meet, as the fourth relay of the competition setting the fourth new relay program record.

Trio of Men’s Swimming Records Fall on Opening Day at MAC Championships
It was a tremendous start Wednesday as the Valpo men’s swimming team competed for the first time at the MAC Championships in Carbondale, Ill., as both relay events set school records in the evening session. Earlier in the day, senior Dominic May (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) got things going with a program record in the 100 IM in time trial action.

Swimming Earns Six Event Wins Saturday at EIU
The Valpo men’s and women’s swimming teams took to the pool Saturday in Charleston, Ill. for a dual meet at Eastern Illinois. The Beacons claimed six first-place finishes over the course of the meet, which served as the women’s final regular season meet heading into the MVC Championships.

Valpo swimming senior Dominic May (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) received the third weekly honor of his career on Wednesday, as he was named Mid-American Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week for his performances in dual meets last weekend against Rose-Hulman and IUPUI.

The Valpo men’s and women’s swimming teams turned around after competing Friday evening and returned to the pool Saturday afternoon in a dual meet at IUPUI. Four different Beacons posted second-place finishes in individual events to lead the squad’s effort Saturday.

Valpo Swimming Earns 18 Event Wins Friday; Women Claim Dual Meet Victory
The Valpo women’s and men’s swimming squads combined to earn 18 event victories on Friday evening at Rose-Hulman as their spring season continued. The women swept all 14 events on their way to claiming the dual meet victory, while the men touched the wall first in four events.

The Valpo men's and women's swimming teams will host their Senior Meet against UIC Friday evening at 5 p.m. at the Valparaiso Aquatic Center. This schedule addition takes the place of the previously scheduled meet against Southern Illinois on Saturday, which has been canceled.
