Daniel Brunette (Carmel, Ind./Lutheran H.S. of Indianapolis) and Alex Lau (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson Senior H.S.) saw their run through the consolation draw of the C flight doubles come to an end as the duo dropped the final match 8-5 to a pair from IPFW.

Brunette and Lau notched two victories after receiving a bye in the back draw before running into Micael Chase and Nathan Jones.

Valpo's B flight duo of Dave Bukowski (Mount Prospect, Ill./Prospect H.S.) and Mike Wagner (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer H.S.) also reached the consolation final, but the match was defaulted.

Valparaiso will return to the courts next weekend for the Bradley Invitational. Play begins on Friday at 9 a.m.
