Junior Jeffrey Schorsch (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) was named the Horizon League's Men's Tennis Player of the Week Monday, his fourth such accolade of the spring season.

Schorsch rolled to two victories at No. 1 singles and another at No. 1 doubles this past weekend as the Crusaders closed out the regular season with a 20-5 record and the No. 1 seed in the Horizon League Championship beginning this weekend in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

On Saturday, he defeated Youngstown State's Hugo Morth 6-4, 6-4 atop singles before dismissing Cleveland State's Joe VanMeter 6-3, 6-3 a day later. Schorsch teamed up with classmate Charlie Emhardt (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) to score a dramatic 7-6 (4) victory Sunday at No. 1 doubles versus the Viking tandem of VanMeter and Andre Mick.

Schorsch, the reigning Horizon League Player of the Year, currently owns a program-record 82 singles wins. He went 6-0 at No. 1 singles in league play and 4-0 at doubles during the 2016 regular season.

Schorsch and the Crusaders will face the winner of Youngstown State/Cleveland State on Saturday, April 30th at 3 pm ET/2 pm CT at the Preston Robert Tisch Building in Ann Arbor.
