This will mark Valpo’s sixth all-time meet at Warren G. Hoger Track, which was dedicated on Oct. 11, 2014. The facility features a state-of-the-art Rekortan all-weather surface and includes high jump, long jump, triple jump, pole vault and steeplechase areas. The lead gift for the project came from Jay Christopher ‘67, ‘99H, and was given in honor of Warren Hoger ‘53, who was a member of the Valpo track & field team as an undergraduate and enjoyed a long, distinguished career as the track & field coach at Walther Lutheran High School in Chicago.

Valpo hosted regular-season home meets in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 in addition to hosting the Horizon League Outdoor Championships in April 2016. This will mark Valpo’s penultimate meet of the regular season as the squad will make its way to Terre Haute for the Pacesetter Sports Invitational, hosted by Indiana State on May 7. That will lead into the MVC Outdoor Championships, which will be hosted by Southern Illinois in Carbondale from May 14-16.
