The Valparaiso University men’s and women’s track & field programs have announced their schedule for the 2022-2023 indoor season, which will begin on Dec. 2 with the Blue & Gold Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame.

That will start a competitive schedule that features two other meets hosted by the Fighting Irish (Jan. 21, Notre Dame Invitational and Feb. 3-4, Meyo Invitational). The team will also compete in a pair of indoor events hosted by Big Ten Conference institutions, the Illini Challenge in Champaign, Ill. (Jan. 27-28) and Hoosier Hills in Bloomington, Ind. (Feb. 10).

The indoor campaign will conclude on Feb. 26-27 as the Beacons co-host the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championships at Gately Park in Chicago for the second consecutive season. Valpo will co-host the event with UIC this season after doing so with Loyola a year ago.

This will be the program’s first season under Interim Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Vincent Walker, who led the men’s cross country program to its best NCAA Regional finish in program history this fall
